44 degree and going up

It's hot, super duper hot, kind of weather in delhi where you would just not want to step out of home, close yourself in a cool dark room and drink lot of cold lassi and watermelon juice and just pretend that nothing in the world is important enough to care..if only !!!

I am reminded of the bamboo mats that we used during these summer months , whether to sleep on the cold cemented floor during the day or take it up to terrace in evening and just lounge around in cool evening breeze or for elaborate wedding rituals of our dolls.


Bamboo mats have now evolved from the sad brown looking thing standing in corner to be multi colored aesthetically pleasing

so how about using some bamboo mats this summer to keep your cool and keeping your house colorful ? 

I'll always have a sunrise.... I'll always have a sunset

There is something so serene , enchanting and absolutely riveting about both sunrise and sunsets. Admittedly I haven’t witnessed many sunrises (def not a morning person ) but loads of beautiful sunsets all across the world .

And probably for the first time, we started this new year by watching sunrise in Pondicherry ..I have a feeling the year might be better beacuse of such a beautiful start

Pride Ride

I had a nice chance of taking a metro from IFFCO chowk gurgaon to CP the other day, and what an amazing ride. 50 mins flat and i was at rajiv chowk, how amazing it that and that too in evening  peak traffic time. Delhi metro is something i am really really proud of being an indian. It is one the best one i have ridden across the world and trust me i have been on few, so except for may be dubai which is sparkling new right now it is probably one the best. And the best part is it is still being maintained so well. The same delhi junta who makes a mess of everything public has still not spoiled it and lets hope so it would be continue doing the same even after   Mr Sreedharan bids adieu ! 

Back Again !

After lot of debate and discussion - entirely with myself , i decided to renew the blog. Even if dreams are still a distant relality, there are so many beautiful things in the world to write and share and i hope to continue doing that with this blog. So on that happy (very!) note, hello again!!

I try to visit my fav blogs every day (i can make serious face & pretend that i am looking at very important "work related" information ) and would wonder if the blogs were not updated daily ( i mean how much effort is REALLY required) . But now that i have writing my own blog (last updated Dec 10th) i realise how much of discipline does it require to write so many interesting and fun stuff on daily basis .Given the pace of life that it is and thousand and one things that we have to handle all around,  it is REAL HUGE deal to dohence my new found admiration and respect for all the bloggers. A serious hats off to all of you for making an effort.
