Shop Stop - Aprov

Shopping online for Indian handicrafts (accessories, bags , home décor, jewelry etc) gets better with Aprov (Sanskrit for Unique). Started by  Sudip Datta, an IT professional, the aim of this endeavor is to bring the authentic Indian handicraft to wider audience. They have partnered with over 2000 artisans to bring to you some real unique pieces

As per Sudip Aprov as a company doesn’t decides on the product price and leaves that for artisans themselves to judge.

And just in case you are not happy with what you got , they have “No Questions Asked 7 day return Policy”. Definitely a first in this market

Cup Garden

So what would you do with the last remaining cup and saucers from the set? The ones that miraculosly survived slippery hands, so pretty that you cant throw out but have no place to actually store these random ones. Well, if you are like any of the smart /creative / innovative people on the world wide web, you use them to make a nice gardern for yourself

infact if you want you could use paper cup from coffee shops for growing a bunch ...

Such a pretty way to bring nature inside

Living the desert dream ...

Couple of years back , we took a road trip to Rajasthan, it was fun trip for 6 days. We had a chance to stay  at Khimsar Sand dune resorts , beautiful setting and beautiful cottages. Quiet a surreal experience to be staying in dessert.  A must visit if you ever happen to be in that part of the world. Sharing some photos of that stay....

I am jealous of Madame President …

.............For she has the best garden I have ever seen. This Sunday I finally made it to Mughal Garden at Rashtrapati Bhawan and man what a sight !!! Despite being part of 50000+ crowd ( we do are billion plus people country), it was a treat to walk in those garden. It’s huge and very well maintained. Peonies in full bloom and were a total delight. Rose garden was a little bit of disappointment as the flowers were not in full bloom, what with out of season rain & cold (yes weather god ..could you please make it warm for  holi, for we do like to play with wet colors)

I digress ..so the garden is amazing , I can imagine sitting there in crisp winter morning and having a cup of tea or some thandi lassi in summer evening . Unfortunately cameras were not allowed (no mobile, electronic car key, hand bag, water bottle etc) so  I cant share some beautiful pictures from the visit ..but if you have not visited so far, do make it a point to go , its quiet a retreat in middle of city.
